Melanie joined the Rancho Santa Fe Association as the Environmental & Open Space Coordinator in October 2024. Melanie brings a wealth of environmental and community outreach experience to her new role. Previously as the Community Outreach and Development Coordinator for San Marcos Promise, she organized and facilitated community events and informational sessions to promote awareness of education resources and opportunities, as well as the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and services offered. She was also the Environment Research Assistant at California State University as a part of her master’s program in Biological Sciences, and most recently worked as the Environmental Analyst Assistant for RP General Construction, conducting environmental impact studies, evaluating potential project impacts on natural resources, analyzed environmental data and assisted in preparing detailed reports on air quality, water quality and ecological impacts.
Melanie is a graduate of California State University-San Marcos. She has received a Bachelor and a Master of Science degree in Biology. In her spare time, Melanie enjoys running and is a soccer enthusiast. She also loves spending time with her family and dogs.
